Jjanusz Custom Jewelry Design believes in supporting local charities.  This is one of the major avenues that we use to get the word out to the general public that we are NOT your usual over priced retail jewelry store.  Instead of giving a small package of jewelry cleaner, we put our money where our heart is and help support charities that benefit people   In general, we donate a certificate good towards $250 of our labor costs in making a custom piece of jewelry.  Since we are a design studio, this amount of money covers a good deal of our normal labor charge making our normal value an even better value!  We also have found that our mother and child pendant is a popular raffle item- and so we have donated about an even dozen so far this year to various charities.

Schaumburg Rotary Club and YMCA

	This year we felt privileged to help support research for carcinoid cancer, breast cancer, disadvantaged children, homeless women, a school sports team, the local Rotary, YMCA, and several animal rescues as well as our local Chamber of Commerce.

Hoffman Estates Police Benevolent Fund

View Larger Image		Jjanusz was happy to donate four of our signature Mother and Child pendants for the Hoffman Estates police raffle which helps to supprt their "shop with a cop" program for disadvantaged children. Every year, the Hoffman Estates police department takes several children, who might not have a very happy holiday- and plays Santa Claus- by taking them shopping for gifts for themselves and thier families.

Jjanusz believes in supporting charities for our furry friends, too.  And we have a special place in our hearts for dachshunds!

Northwest Community Hospital

		Jjanusz believes that one day, soon, a cure for  the terrible disease that is cancer will be found.  Meanwhile we are willing to do our part, by donating to worthy causes that advance the fight against cancer. We are glad that the Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation was able to use our $250 gift certificate as well as our two signature Mother and Child pendants at their 49th Fashion Show and Luncheon fundraiser.

Zebra Ball for Carcinoid Cancer

 

Janusz and Joyce had never heard of this type of cancer until it was brought to our attention.  The Zebra Ball's first benefit to help fight against carcinoid cancer got our full support.  Not only did we personally attend this event, but Jjanusz Custom Jewelry Design was pleased to donate four of our $250 certificates to be raffled to help raise money.
